As you get older you’re more likely to have high blood pressure. If any of the factors listed below apply to you. Please speak to your doctor.
1. You have a family history of high blood pressure, heart disease or stroke.
2. You are overweight.
3. You do not do much physical activity.
4. You drink more than the recommended amount of alcohol.
5. You have a diet that includes a lot of salt.
Once your high blood pressure, has been diagnosed, you and your doctor can’t take steps to treat it. If left untreated, high blood pressure can lead to strokes, heart disease and kidney failure. That is why it is important to lower your blood pressure.
Graceland Diabetes Foundation working to lower blood pressure to prevent disability and premature death, from stroke, heart attack and heart disease. We do this through raising awareness about the importance of high blood pressure amongst the general public.
We help and support people living with the condition and those at risk of developing it through our campaigning. We give people with high blood pressure information to ensure they get the best care possible.
